AMD has unveiled the Radeon RX 9000 Series graphics cards, featuring the RDNA 4 architecture. The lineup includes the Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070, both equipped with 16GB of GDDR6 memory and significant improvements in raytracing and AI acceleration.

The new GPUs promise up to 40% higher gaming performance compared to the previous generation, enhanced raytracing with 2x throughput per compute unit, and AI-driven upscaling via FidelityFX Super Resolution 4 (FSR 4). Other features include HYPR-RX technology for optimized gaming performance, support for next-gen display resolutions up to 8K 144Hz, and improved streaming capabilities through the Radiance Display Engine.

Performance benchmarks indicate the RX 9070 XT delivers over 40% higher performance at 1440p compared to the RX 7900 GRE. AI accelerators provide up to 8x INT8 throughput for enhanced creative applications and generative AI workloads.

The Radeon RX 9070 XT is priced at $599, while the RX 9070 will retail for $549. Availability begins on March 6, 2025, through board partners including ASUS, Gigabyte, Sapphire, and XFX.
