The 2025 Call for Code program invites developers to build AI-driven solutions addressing United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Organized by Call for Code, IBM, UN Human Rights, and the Linux Foundation, the initiative includes five hackathons throughout the year. The first event, running from March 20 to 31, focuses on creating AI virtual agents for clean water and sanitation (SDG 6) in honor of UN World Water Day. Participants will have free access to IBM’s AI tools, including watsonx, and winners will receive cash prizes and passes to the IBM TechXchange Conference. The grand prize for the overall challenge is $50,000, with additional opportunities for open-source project support.
