IBM is contributing three open-source AI projects—Docling, Data Prep Kit, and BeeAI—to the Linux Foundation to expand their development and adoption. Docling helps transform unstructured documents into machine-readable formats, Data Prep Kit streamlines data processing for AI models, and BeeAI enables AI agent discovery and interoperability across frameworks.
These projects aim to enhance AI readiness by improving data ingestion, preparation, and agent integration. IBM sees open governance as key to driving widespread adoption, similar to Kubernetes. More details will be shared at the IBM TechXchange Conference in October 2025.
