Allison Transmission Appoints Scott Mell as Chief Financial Officer
INDIANAPOLIS – Allison Transmission (NYSE: ALSN), a leading global manufacturer of propulsion solutions for commercial and defense vehicles, has named Scott Mell as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Treasurer. The appointment follows the promotion of Fred Bohley to Chief Operating Officer, who had continued to serve as CFO while the company searched for a successor.
Scott Mell is a seasoned executive with nearly three decades of financial and operational leadership experience, including extensive international involvement across Asia, Europe, and South America. His background includes senior roles at TriMas Corporation, Riveron Consulting, Ernst & Young, McKinsey & Company, and AlixPartners.
“We are pleased to welcome Scott Mell to the Allison Transmission team,” said David Graziosi, Chair and CEO. “His global perspective and strong financial acumen will support our mission to drive innovation and sustainable growth.”
As CFO, Mell will lead the company’s finance operations, overseeing financial planning, budgeting, reporting, compliance, and investor relations. He will also be responsible for treasury strategy and play a central role in shaping Allison’s long-term business strategy.
“I am thrilled to join Allison Transmission and contribute to its ongoing success,” said Scott Mell. “The company’s innovative technologies and dedication to operational excellence are inspiring, and I look forward to working with the global team to enhance financial performance and deliver value to stakeholders.”
