Lowe’s to Acquire Artisan Design Group for $1.325 Billion

Lowe’s Companies, Inc. announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Artisan Design Group (ADG), a top nationwide provider of interior design, distribution, and installation services for homebuilders and property managers, for $1.325 billion.

ADG, with 2024 revenue of approximately $1.8 billion, operates through a network of over 3,200 specialized installers across 132 facilities in 18 states. The acquisition expands Lowe’s footprint into a $50 billion distribution market segment and strengthens its offerings to professional customers (Pro).

Lowe’s CEO Marvin Ellison highlighted the deal as a key move to support growth in Pro planned spending, particularly as demand for new housing remains strong. ADG CEO Steve Margolius noted the merger will enhance growth and allow for a broader service offering.

The deal is expected to close in Q2 2025 and will be financed with Lowe’s existing cash reserves, pending regulatory approvals.
