Italy's Current Account Deficit Shrinks in November 2024

Italy's current account deficit decreased to €332 million in November 2024, down from €848 million in the same month of the previous year. This improvement was driven by a larger goods surplus (€4.393 billion compared to €4.187 billion in November 2023), a significant reduction in the services deficit (€1.200 billion compared to €2.067 billion), and a slight improvement in the secondary account deficit (€540 million compared to €774 million). However, the primary account deficit increased to €2.984 billion from €2.194 billion.
