Papa John’s Q1 2025 Earnings Decline Amid North America Sales Weakness, Guidance Reaffirmed
Papa John’s reported Q1 2025 revenue of $518 million, up 1% year-over-year, supported by higher commissary and advertising revenues but offset by a 3% decline in North America comparable sales. Net income fell to $9.3 million from $14.9 million last year, while adjusted diluted EPS dropped to $0.36 from $0.67.
Adjusted EBITDA decreased to $49.6 million. International comparable sales rose 3.2%, and 47 new restaurants opened globally. Free cash flow improved to $19.1 million. The company reaffirmed its 2025 guidance, including 2–5% global system-wide sales growth and $200–$220 million in adjusted EBITDA.
