T-Mobile has been recognized as a world leader in network performance, with Opensignal’s latest Global Mobile Network Experience report ranking it as the fastest large land area operator for average download speeds globally. T-Mobile also earned recognition as a global leader in average upload speeds, making it the only U.S. provider to receive such distinctions.

Ulf Ewaldsson, T-Mobile’s President of Technology, emphasized that this achievement solidifies the company’s leadership since its merger with Sprint. He highlighted T-Mobile’s nationwide 5G standalone network, which continues to set industry benchmarks ahead of competitors and is positioned to lead the transition to 5G Advanced and eventually 6G.

This recognition follows a previous Opensignal report naming T-Mobile’s 5G network as the most available globally. Additionally, T-Mobile Puerto Rico ranked among the top for download speeds in smaller regions.

T-Mobile’s 5G network covers over 332 million people across two million square miles, with its Ultra Capacity 5G reaching more than 305 million people—providing over twice the coverage of comparable mid-band 5G offerings from its closest competitors.
