Rockstar Games has acquired Sydney-based development studio Video Games Deluxe, which will be renamed Rockstar Australia. The studio has collaborated with Rockstar on projects such as the 2017 re-releases of *L.A. Noire*, *L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files*, and upgrades to *Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition* for iOS, Android, Netflix, and modern consoles.

Rockstar’s partnership with Video Games Deluxe dates back to *L.A. Noire* and its original development by Team Bondi, founded by Brendan McNamara. McNamara expressed excitement about joining Rockstar Games and continuing to develop high-quality games.

Rockstar Games has built its reputation through blockbuster franchises like *Grand Theft Auto*, *Red Dead Redemption*, and *Max Payne*. Its parent company, Take-Two Interactive, continues to expand its portfolio through acquisitions and development across console, PC, and mobile platforms.
