Apple Announces Global Close Your Rings Day for Apple Watch Users on April 24

Apple has announced Global Close Your Rings Day, inviting all Apple Watch users to close their Move, Exercise, and Stand rings on April 24 to earn a limited-edition award and a set of animated stickers for Messages.

Now marking a decade since the launch of Activity rings, Apple aims to celebrate user engagement and promote healthy habits through this global event. Users who achieve their daily goals on April 24 will receive a digital badge and can also collect a commemorative pin at Apple Store locations worldwide, while supplies last.

Apple also shared new research insights from the Apple Heart and Movement Study. The study, based on data from over 140,000 participants, showed that consistent Activity ring closure was associated with 48% lower likelihood of poor sleep, 73% lower rates of elevated resting heart rate, and 57% lower perceived stress levels. These trends were observed across all age groups and genders.

Apple Watch users are encouraged to share their achievements using the hashtag #CloseYourRings. The event is available to those using watchOS 5.0 or later.
