Philips has chosen Amazon Web Services (AWS) as its preferred cloud provider to enhance healthcare innovation and improve patient outcomes. By leveraging AWS’s AI services and global infrastructure, Philips is accelerating digital transformation, migrating healthcare data, and expanding its healthcare informatics portfolio. Over the past year, Philips has supported more than 34 million patient exams in the cloud, managed 134 petabytes of medical data, and connected over 1.3 million IoT devices. The company is also using AWS AI to automate administrative tasks, streamline medical imaging, and develop AI-powered solutions like the Tasy EMR Virtual Assistant, which transcribes doctor-patient conversations in real-time. Additionally, Philips and AWS are exploring generative AI applications to address staff shortages and burnout in radiology. The collaboration aims to improve operational efficiency and enable healthcare providers to focus more on patient care.
